We Do Wood acquires the entrance specialist Roon & Rahn
Two distinctive furniture brands from Aarhus are now becoming one. We Do Wood has acquired Roon & Rahn, and We Do Wood is hereby strengthening its position within exclusive entrance furniture.
“We have followed Roon & Rahn with great interest and fascination for their brand, design and focus on sustainability for a long time. Several of their products harmonize really well with our own product portfolio and there is a large customer similarity.
Therefore when we had the opportunity to acquire the Roon & Rahn collection, we seized this opportunity , says We Do Wood director Klaus Jorlet.”
We Do Wood has a very consistent focus on sustainability, which means that all products are manufactured in Denmark – both to reduce the environmental impact from freight and to be able to optimize processes in relation to energy consumption. Therefore, the new products will now be produced at the company’s manufacturer in Jutland.
With great respect for the Roon & Rahn identity, the products will be branded under the name “Roon & Rahn by WeDoWood”, and the already tested designs and material choices will be preserved.
The founders of Roon & Rahn have wanted to seek new opportunities, and therefore they do not continue as a permanent part of the staff. But the parties expect to collaborate on the future development of the Roon & Rahn collection.
